Adapter For Connecting Trailer 7-Way To A Vehicle With A 4-Flat Plug
Question:
I have a trailer with a 7 blade connector and my truck has a 4 wire. Im looking for an adapter. My problem is that the 7blad would plug into a male connector and all the adapters are female. Do you make an adapter with the male end of a 7blade? All I find are 7 blade to 4 wire that have the same 7 blade end as my trailer.

Hello Joe, I can help with this. If you are simply looking for an adapter that will allow you to plug your trailers 7-way into the 4-way on your truck, you can use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57102. Keep in mind that using this kind of adapter will give you the brake light and turn signal functions only. So if your trailer has brakes there would be no way to operate them.
If you need a fully functioning 7-way you can use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This will include all of the components needed to upgrade your 4-flat to a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller like the Tekonsha P3 # 90195.
