How Much Space Between Leaf Spring And Frame For Timbren SES on 2011 Nissan Frontier
Question:
I have a 2011 Nissan Frontier S 4wd manual. I bought it second hand a while ago. It was mud style tires on it and it appears to be lifted but I cant tell if its just the tires that make it look that way. I now have a trailer , that weighs 2500 or so pounds. It compresses the rear suspension and the truck bounces a lot... Was thinking about getting the timbren suspension enhancements... but need to know if they will fit. Can you tell me what the distance between the spring and the frame should be ?

Timbren recommends a 1" gap when the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4L is installed. The overall height of this kit is 4.6" so the distance between your leaf spring and the point of contact where the old bump stop hits should be 5.6". It doesn't have to be perfect, but the greater the gap the longer it will take to engage. It is possible to add spacers to close the distance using the 1/2" # TA25722-90P00 and 1" # A25723-90AH00. Adding spacers will require longer bolts which you will have to source locally.
