Recommended Extended Ball Mount for a Boat Trailer
Question:
I just installed a set of trick steps on my boat trailer . I had the large step pads added 7 inch by 11 inch and there are 4 steps . A tag was added to the part that I would need to add an extended mount for my turning radius . I have a 3inch on a 2inch receiver now. Can you help me out. My Boat is an 18 foot Caymas bass boat and my trailer is rated for 3500 pounds, Mercury 115 four stroke o/b. Disc brakes on the trailer. any guidance would be helpful . Thank You Doug Peabody

Sounds like you need an extended ball mount. The Hidden Hitch Ball Mount item # 80232 you were looking at would definitely give you plenty of turning clearance. It measures 15-3/4" from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole and has a 6,000 lbs capacity.
Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # 63845 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # 63847.
