Question:
Looking to replace an older Dometic AC with a more efficient one that can run on a smaller generator off grid? Recommendations? Thanks.

Hey Dick, thanks for reaching out!
I recommend checking out the 13,500 Btu Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR82PV which comes with wiring to hook up to your current Dometic pieces and is rated for 11.2 amps for power draw. This also comes with a start capacitor to help limit the power draw on startup.
If you have a 15,000 Btu unit you can use the Furrion Chill HE # FR42PV instead, which has a 12.8 amps power draw rating.
You'll need to compare this power draw with what the rating is for your generator.
