Dust Cover

Question:

Hi, Quick trailer question Im hoping you can help me with. I have a homemade trailer I bought off someone, probably 4ft by 6ft long. Only been used to haul garbage to the dump, which is 5 minutes away and now I need to tow it 900km cause we are moving. So in the process of redoing the bearings, putting on new tires, etc. And noticed its missing a dust cap, the dust cap is slightly over 1.5 and Ive scoured the internet and can not seem to find a dust cap that size. Is there any where to get a cap that size ? Hoping one dust cap isnt going to sink this whole project. Also when I took the bearings out they seemed quite small, inner bearing had a 1 inner diameter and outer bearing only 0.675 inner diameter. Bearings were tough to find and oil seal was even harder. So also wanted to make sure this thing is safe for highway speeds, it will be towed empty. Thanks for any help! Jamie

We don't have anything that matches that size but that doesn't mean there isn't something out there. The smallest we have goes down to 1.7 inch. It is probably safe but it's hard to say with just info you mentioned.
