Adding An Awning To A 1995 Toyota Granvia

Question:

Hi, I have a 1995 Toyota Granvia that currently has nothing on the roof. I would like to mount at least one side rail such that I can put an awning on the vehicle. Do you guys have any products that would fit my vehicle?

Hello Devin, we do have a few options for you. The first thing that comes to mind is to just do a direct mount awning. The Thule HideAway Awning # TH490018 is a great direct mount option. You just need to have 8.5" of open space on the side of the van.

If you prefer a roof mounted option, the best bet would be to install roof tracks like the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks # RTC14. You can then use the Track Mount RLTF Legs # RLTF along with some Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2. This will give you a full roof rack setup, which you can use the mount any crossbar mounted awning. The Thule HideAway Awning # TH490008 is a great option that will mount directly to the roof rack.

Please note that these roof rack parts are not custom fitted to your van. The # RTC14 are 55" long and you will want to verify what size track you can fit on your roof. Also the # RRVA126B-2 crossbars I recommended are 49" long. You will want to find the proper mounting location for the tracks before you select your crossbars. This way we can be sure they are the appropriate width for your van.

Feel free to commend below if you have further questions.
