5th Wheel Trailer is Too Close to Truck Cab and Tailgate on a Ford F-250
Question:
Will the LC158778 make a good choice for my 6 ft Ford 250. Right now I am too close to the crew cab and my tailgate in the down position is too close to my trailers bulkhead. I need the trailer positioned back at least 5 to 6 inches. Thanks fsor your answer.

What you will need is a Sidewinder replacement pin box that actually moves the pivot point of the trailer back 22 inches. An air ride pin box such as # LC158778 will not provide you with any additional length. To determine if there is a Sidewinder available I will need to know the manufacturer and model number of the pin box. This information should be on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself.
Then you can use our Sidewinder help article, linked for you, to determine if there is one that will fit.
Instead of having the tailgate down the best solution is to either remove the tailgate or install a 5th wheel tailgate. I would need to know the year of your Ford F-250 to determine the correct options.
