Recommended 5TH Wheel Hitch For a 2023 Ford F-150 With 5-1/2' Short Bed
Question:
I have a 2015 grand design reflection 27 RL fifth wheel. I also have a 23 F150 Ford with a 5.5 bed. It has a gooseneck ball in the bed so I could actually add a fifth wheel if I needed to but right now I’ve been trying to use an Anderson hitch in it. I have not pulled the trailer yet. I’m just trying to get it set up. And see if it’s gonna work I’m not sure that it will. I spotted one of your hitches on another trailer where I’m parked and I want some information about it. It looks like it may be what I’m really needing so if I could have somebody contact me on Monday that would be great or today even today, Saturday , thanks very much

There are only 2 ways I would tow a 2015 Grand Design Reflection 27RL behind your 2023 Ford F-150. Both ways are going to require having 5th Wheel Rails # DM8552028-71. Then I would either use the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550040 which is my preference since it can easily be used with different 5th wheels. Or you could use a Fixed 5TH Wheel # C16115 but would then need to have a pivoting pin box like the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR and a Wedge # RP64FR.
If you do not already have one a Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 41157 will give you an in bed 7-way to reduce damage to the wiring and paint from the cord reaching down to the rear bumper.
