Best Sumo Springs For A 2011 Ford F-250 Towing A Bumper Pull Camper With An Equalizer Hitch

Question:

I am looking at the Sumo Springs Rear Suspension support. I have a 2011 Ford F250 4x2. I tow a 29ft bumper pull camper. I am inquiring as to which Sumo Spring I would need since they come in different strength grades. I tow about 4 to 5 times a year. I already have an Equalizer hitch system as well. Do I need Sumo Springs with an Equalizer hitch?

Hello Byron. You can absolutely use Sumo Springs helper springs with an Equalizer hitch. In fact, this is a combination that we recommend fairly frequently as they compliment each other well. Another big benefit of Sumo Springs is that the factory ride is unaffected when you are not towing.

For your 2011 Ford F250 I recommend the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs # SSR-119-40-2. These are the 2,600 lb capacity springs which should be more than enough for an F250 and a bumper pull camper. I am not sure of the exact weight of your camper but I highly doubt your hitch weight will exceed this rating. I like these also because they have a 2-piece design which helps with smoother suspension travel and better shock absorption. Since you only tow a few times a year, the 2-piece rebel springs will be the best bet for sure.
