Where to Place Jack for 5th Wheel Trailer Maintenance

Question:

I know this is not the place to be askIng this question, but I am desperate. I have exhausted all other routes trying to find an answer. I have a 2004 Thor citation 32 foot 5th wheel. Where is the recommended safe jacking points on the trailer. Thor went out of buisness shortly after building my trailer and I can not find an owners manual anywhere to find this info. If you can help me I will forever be in your debt!

Hey Gordon, thanks for reaching out!

You'll want to take the same approach to this as you would a vehicle; place the jack on the frame and you'll want to keep it near a current contact point like the wheel(s) or a jack that already exists on your trailer.

There isn't a perfect art to it - you'll just need to use your best judgement to keep the trailer balanced.

If you won't be doing anything with the axles you can also use something like the TrailerLegs Tire Saver Stands # 326-TRLLG-4 to prop the trailer up by the axles.
