Can Fulton Spare Tire Carrier FSTC1000301 Be Installed on an Angle Iron Body Trailer

In the video for the angle iron trailer, you are using a piece of angle iron against the angle iron top rail to give a flat mounting surface simulating box tubing, my question is how did you fasten the short piece of angle to the top rail before installing the tire mount?

On a trailer made of angle iron you would need to weld on a piece of steel plate to create a boxed section of frame. Once that is done you can mount the Spare Tire Carrier # FSTC1000301.

Welding should be performed by a qualified professional welder.
