Can I Replace My Cometic AC With An Advent ASA56YR And What Is Starting/Running Watts?
Question:
Hi, Im interested in purchasing the Advent ASA56YR air conditioner to replace the Domestic 13,500 btu AC unit in my Coleman camper. First, is this a direct replacement for the Domestic unit? Second, how many watts will I need for starting and running the Advent Air Conditioner?

Hello Shannon thanks for reaching out. The Advent # ASA56YR will indeed be a direct replacement Domestic 13,500 btu AC unit. The Advent units are made to be directly compatible with Dometic Ac systems like the one in your Coleman camper. The Advent 13,500 BTU AC requires 3,000 watts for starting and 1,000 watts while running. The included start capacitor is what bring the starting watts down so low.
