Does The Computer Need To Be Flashed In A 2022 Ford F-250 When Installing A Brake Controller

Question:

2022 F250 with the tow package without the controller module I know with the OEM or module, you have to have them flash the computer in order for the truck to recognize The module. My question is if I purchased prodigy will I still have to have the dealership flash the computer in order for it to be recognized to function properly?

Hey Gary,

From what we've experienced in our shop you should not have to have the computer flashed when installing an aftermarket brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. The Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 22292 will make installation quick and easy.
