Hi Dana,

Since there isn't a factory brake controller wire harness port you will have to splice into your Silverado's wiring in order to install a brake controller. Which brake controller are you trying to install or have you not purchased one yet?

If you haven't purchased one yet and have a factory 7-way with a round connector then you could go with the Curt Echo In-Line Bluetooth Brake Controller # C79DR. This plugs inline with the 7-way and utilizes an app to adjust your output settings. With this brake controller you wouldn't need to splice into anything and the installation should only take a few minutes to complete.
