Troubleshooting Poor Braking With A Brake Buddy Select 3 Braking System
Question:
Hello. I have it all set up but one, its hard to seat it correctly in a 2018 Rubicon. And two and more importantly, I dont think its braking at all. The remote just turns it self off after a short period. It never shows braking, but will recognize setting changes. All the tail light work correctly and it does the startup correctly. Mark

Hey Mark,
The display on the remote of the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System # HM39524 will go to sleep after 5 minutes with no use, but will turn back on when you press a button. It definitely is possible that the system isn't properly applying the brakes if it's not adjusted right to depress the pedal. I recommend checking out Brad's installation video attached below starting at the 6:54 minute mark to ensure you're unit is sitting the properly. If you keep having issues let me know and we can keep troubleshooting.

It doesn't recognize I am breaking in the RV. It just stays at idle.
