Can the Cradles on the Ladder Mount Bike Rack LA-102 be Moved Forward or Back on the Arms
Question:
There are pads on the rack arms. These are the pads that the bike rests on. Can these pads be moved along the rack arms or are they stuck in place?

Expert Reply:
The pads, or cradles, on the Stromberg Carlson 2 Bike Carrier # LA-102 can be moved forward and backward on the arms of the rack for more or less space between the bikes.
It takes some effort to move cradles. The cradles have to be a little hard to move, otherwise the bikes would slide around on the arms. The best way to move them is to twist while at the same time push or pull the cradle. Hairspray could work as a temporary lubricant which will then get sticky to hold the cradle in place even more.
