Troubleshooting Hard to Start Vehicle After its Flat Towed
Question:
Hi I bought and installed a Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System . When I unhook the car after traveling the car does not start easily and doesn’t want to idle, after revving the engine for a few minutes it’s ok again what’s the problem?

Does it crank slowly or can you be more specific on the problems? My first thought is the battery is dying and that's why it's hard to start. This would be the case if it is slow to crank. We have a charge line kit that would help with that with the part # RM-156-25 which will help keep the battery topped off when flat towing as the braking system does slow discharge the battery.

Hi I have the battery charge line and the battery disconnect switch both work fine no it starts fine but doesn’t want to idle only if I rev the engine for a while 1-2 minutes then it’s normal again I think it has something to do with the visibrake vacuum line that’s hooked up to the brake booster vacuum line.
