Dimensions Of The Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receivers # C13701
Question:
How far does the receiver hitch extend from the cross support tube? Mounting the hitch to rear of 2024 Aliner Ranger 10 to transport my Ryvid Outliner EV Super Moto. Im beefing up the existing frame with 1/4inch steel to better distribute the weight so the hitch can bold on directly underneath with clearance for the two rear stabilizer jacks. Added stress will be distributed over 24inch by 1/4inch steel L-Channel clad by 3/16inch baking plate with six bolts 2inch spacing at three intervals of 2, 12inch and 22inch on each side. This will not be for towing but only when I haul my Super Moto which is 315 lbs with battery or 230 lbs without battery. The other light duty is for Mt. Bikes or cargo rack. To lessen the overall stress I may elect to transport the Super Moto without the battery just to ensure the least amount of stress on the undercarriage of the trailer. The last thing I want is the liability issue of the the worst scenario. Thanks. Johnnie I will send photos after the install and expect the shipment of the super Moto in the July timeframe. This will be a great addition to our camping experience. Hope to place may order from you soon so I can make the necessary modifications and have my fabricated parts powder coated.

Hello Johnnie. I was able to get my hands on one of the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receivers # C13701 so I could measure. From the edge of crosstube to the receiver collar is 6.566". I made a diagram for your reference.
In regards to carrying your Super Moto motorcycle, we recommend that you always remove the battery when you transport it. Not only will this help to reduce the weight/strain on your hitch, but it is a safety thing as well. In the event of a worst case scenario or collision we do not want the battery exposed to where it could potentially be damaged. We recommend doing this for any bike with a battery.
