Can Curt Crosswing be Used in Truck Bed that Has Bed Mat

Question:

Id like to buy the Curt Crosswing but have to make sure it will work for my set up. I have a 2016 Ram 2500 short bed. I have a 1/8 thick rubber bed mat. Will it fit with the mat in place? If it doesnt work and the mat must be taken out how does the Curt hitch not turn or slide around in the bed? Others of this type Goosseneck deisgn tend to move and slip a little right or left a few inches. With out the mat what is to prevent the Curt Crosswing from doing the samething? I have run with Andsen 5th wheel hitch and the GenY excutive Gosseneck pin box. Both ways have towed OK. I like the Curt desgin because it is closer to a 5th wheel hitch than the GenY and made of steel which is better than the Andersen the Andersen can and has turned and moved around in the bed a few times and I had to install a mat.

Hey Jim, Curt states that the Crosswing part # C32DR can't be used with anything other than a spray in bed liner. But if your mat is really 1/8 of an inch thick and you don't have a spray in bed liner I would think it should still fit pretty easily.

What prevents the hitch from turning on the gooseneck ball is the set screws that hold the ball tightly and prevent it from being able to spin.

Jameson Thanks for the reply. What I mean is the entire unit slips and turns base and all. My andersen did it until I put a mat down and from what I have read so to does Remco Recon. The entire unit base and all shifts a little or turns left or righta inch or two. Both of thoses units offer a mat to stop that shifting. OH and if I had to I'd cut my mat out to make the hitch fit.
