Recommended Replacement Manual Override Rubber Plug for a 2021 K-Z Sportsmen Travel Trailer

Question:

I own a 2021 KZ Sportsmen LE model 332bhkle, and the rubber plug on top of the tongue jack has dry rotted and fallen apart exposing the inner mechanism to the weather. The jack is only marked RAM 3500 lbs capacity made in China embossed onto the plastic housing. No other labels found. I cannot find a suitable one shaped exactly like the hole it supposed to cover replacement rubber plug/cover. The outer section of the plug is tear shaped, and the inner shape is a round on the larger end of the tear with a lip that snaps into a groove inside the housing. by looking on the internet, I managed to see a very similar shaped plug on the top of what was listed as the Vevor 4000 lb. capacity tongue jack but of course, there are no parts available for that particular unit, nor is there a website for Vevor much less a parts department. Can you guys help?

Hey Josh, it sounds like you're describing the Replacement Override Plugs for Lippert Electric Trailer Jacks # LC733924. This plug has that tear drop outer shape you mention, and also has a round inner shape to go in the actual hole.

I checked that part visually, and the hole in the top of my jack has a much sharper, smaller, rounded end. I may have to purchase one and see if it is trimmable to make it fit correctly. Could you go online and research the Vevor unit? If you enlarge the partial photo of the top of the unit, you can barely make out the shape I need. Thank you for responding to my email question, and thanks for your help.!

@JoshuaP So I did check it out Josh, and it looks like the plug mentioned above is going to be the closest we have. Since these plugs aren't particularly expensive, so I'd recommend just getting ahold of one and see if it fits or can be trimmed to fit.
