Replacement For Bad Trailer Breakaway Switch
Question:
When I got home after driving over 100 miles while pulling my camper, I noticed that the cable for the brake pin was laying on the ground and the pin was missing. The other end was still attached to the truck. It appears as though the pin came out while driving, but the brakes never engaged. Nothing unusual happened on the drive that should have caused the pin to come out, but it was threaded through the chain. The brake controller and brakes still function normally. I believe I have a bad switch. Your thoughts?

I agree with you, I do think it was a bad switch. You can replace it with part # 3802348.
