Vehicle: Honda Pilot 2005 What is the correct way to use a Yakima Halfback 3 Bike Rack on this car? Is the anchor mode needed?

The HalfBack has been discontinued so you wouldn't be able to purchase that form us to use on your 2005 Honda Pilot. But what you can use is the Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack # Y02633.
This does require the rack to be used in anchor mode, which I verified with the rack's manufacturer for you.
