Parts Needed To Secure A Slide Out Outdoor Kitchen In An RV

Question:

My outdoor kitchen appears to slide and hit the door while traveling. I am looking for a latch that can keep that slide from moving. I am having a difficult time finding what I need. I have pictures for reference. Thanks for your help

Hey Justin,

If you want to send me some pictures of your slide I'd be happy to take a look for latch or strap to help secure it when travelling.

Hey Justin,

Got the pictures, thanks. The track should be strong enough to stay closed without you needing a separate strap, but I do understand that they can wear out over time with a lot of use. You can try to replace the tracks instead or you can get some strips of Velcro with an adhesive backing and a roll of Velcro without an adhesive backing from your local hardware/department store. You can place the strips on the portions of the tray that I circled in red in the picture and then cut the non-adhesive Velcro roll to connect the two strips together and secure the tray(s).

This way you're not drilling into anything any the straps can always be easily removed to slide the trays back out.
