You will need the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, item # 1411-2, for your 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Along with the base plate kit you may need a new set of RoadMaster Quick Disconnects - Car Side Only, item # RM-222, if you did not remove them from the explorer or you are planning on towing the explorer and the Cherokee at different times. The Quick disconnect is the part that the Tow bar attaches to on the vehicle.
The only other thing you may need is the wiring for the Cherokee. If you have a set of magnetic tow lights already then you can use those but if your Explorer was equipped with tow bar wiring you will need to equip the Cherokee with tow bar wiring and the same connectors you used with the Explorer. I would recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, item # RM-154, especially if you will be towing the vehicle often.
