How To Determine The Age Of a Trailer Tire
Question:
I can not find how to read the DOT code on my trailer tires. The complete code on the tires is DOT 1ADB2 HFT1. There is no four number code like there used to be and I cant find what HFT1 stands for. Im assuming the 1 is for 2021, but thats just a guess on my part. Any ideas?

Unfortunately Curt, I do not see a date code in the image you sent in. The date code is going to be a 4 digit number with the first 2 numbers referencing the week of the year it was manufactured and the last 2 digits being the last 2 digits of the year. It may only be on one side of the tire. I have included an image of another trailer tire below where you can see the date code(3117) on the far right portion of the tire.
