Here is the procedure to remove the plastic from any Lippert reclining furniture.
1. Pull on handle to release footrest.
2. Use hair dryer to heat top seam of plastic.
3. As plastic is warmed, tug away covering along the perforation.
Note: If the plastic starts to tear while pulling the plastic at the top of the footrest, try removing the plasticvfrom the opposite end.
4. Once the top of the plastic is removed, grasp the plastic from the top and pull down, making sure the protective covering remains straight and tight.
5. Continue to pull tightly while using scissors to cut plastic from the back of footrest.
6. Use needle-nose pliers to remove any small pieces of plastic on the back of the footrest that cannot be removed by hand.
7. Push on footrest to close the chair.
