Have we Documented Install Time For etrailer Base Plates on '21 Grand Cherokee & Contrasted It

Hello, Have you documented the approximate time for installation with the 2020/2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee versus installing on the newer 2022/23 body style. Is there a significant difference? I watched the videos for both and it seems like a lot more effort to install on the newer body style. Put another way, have you published levels of difficulty for one versus the other. Thank you

Hello Wayne,

No, we have not documented any approximate times nor published any levels of difficulty for installing base plates like # e98950 that fit a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Nor have we contrasted them to make such an approximation as level of difficulty is something manufacturers can add if they choose, but they do not. It would be folly to do so based on the intricacies involved and wild variance in individual skill level, and mostly end up with people yelling at the manufacturers for saying it would take 4 hours when it took 7.

I would say the level of difficulty is going to be a 10 out of 10 for essentially every base plate as it is just so different from what the average person does. I have added a link below to an installer locator which is something I highly encourage the vast majority of people to use with flat towing set ups.
