Best Bluetooth Brake Controller for a Camper Renter
Question:
Jerred, Thanks so much for the info. I want to go with one of the bluetooth brake controllers as we'll be renting out our camper on Outdoorsy and this would enable us to "hand off" control to any of our renters. Which would you suggest? Thanks!

No, problem Andy! Happy to help! The best Bluetooth brake controller is going to be the Curt Echo item # C51180. The Echo will plug directly into a 7-Way connector and allows you to control the settings through an app on your phone.
The Echo item # C51180 is a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your tow vehicle decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.
This by far the best option for someone who isn't regularly towing a trailer because it will keep you from having to mount a bulky brake controller inside your vehicle that will constantly be in the way and require you to cut and splice wires to install. The ability to pass this off to a renter will be a nice perk as well.
