Should Equalizer Hanger Be Installed First for Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit

Question:

I am installing this on a tandem 5th wheel. Installation looks pretty straight forward but I am wondering about the best sequence for the bracket installation. Should I start at the equalizer bracket and then move to the forward and rear spring brackets? Or some other sequence? It seems to me that one hangar should be intact before unbolting and removing from the other end of the spring.

Thanks for reaching out about the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX, Mike!

The instructions only mention adjusting the front axle before the rear axle, but I agree with you - the middle hanger that holds the equalizer will need to be installed first so that everything else can be lined up correctly.

Thx Jon... This question is probably already in your system. I am trying to order a "Never Fail" bushing kit, that I have seen referenced in question responses on your website. The # is LC279685. Thx

@Mike The Never Fail Bushings LC279685 kit was unfortunately discontinued a few years ago. You might be able to find remnants of it elsewhere but we unfortunately don't have anything left of it on our site.

@Michael No, not at all! I'm not sure why Lippert discontinued them, but they were extremely popular and people have asked about them still (like yourself) even though they have been gone for a while.
