Double convoluted is the shape/design of the air bags. A double convoluted air bag has two chambers where you see the two bulges on the bag. Single convoluted would just be a single chamber and triple would be with three chambers/bulges sticking out. Double convoluted is typically what you see on a truck like your 2022 GMC Sierra 1500.

If you're trying to decide between Air Lift and Firestone the Firestone is definitely the way to go. These have the best construction by far so they really hold up well. This includes the double convoluted design, 4 layers of reinforced rubber, a braided wire girdle, and their rolled crimp seal to keep the bags anchored. The correct kit for your 1500 would be the # F2609.

I also recommend adding an air compressor like the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor # AL58WQ. This will allow you to adjust the pressure in your air bags wherever you go from the cab of your truck. The compressor is controlled via the app and will allow you to adjust the pressure in each individual air bag.

What do you think of the RAS system?

@JohnR I really like the RAS system, especially as an option you don't have to maintain. I typically recommend the HD kit which would be # RAS54FR for your Sierra. The lowest setting is the same as the highest for the standard kit and you can actually adjust it out to 3mm which gives you 3 different adjustment options. Air bags are better if you need more adjustability or if you're towing/hauling heavy loads all the time but if that isn't what you're doing the RAS is great.
