Compatibility of Swagman Truck Bed Bike Rack # S64702 with 2003 Ford Ranger with Bed Liner

Question:

Own 2003 Ford Ranger Super Cab model. The truck has a plastic bed liner that extends up and over the bed rails. It is my intention to use the truck to transport my bicycle in the bed area. I do not want to drill through the bed to install a mount. I have reviewed on your website Swagman Truck Bed Bike Rack for $99.00 and it appears to be exactly what I want. It would have to be removable so that I can store it in the garage when not in use, and install it when needed. That would keep the bed area open for cargo at other times. Can you provide specific product installation information, i.e. photos, video, installation manual PDF? Thanks

The Swagman Truck Bed Bike Rack # S64702 will work with trucks that have drop-in bed liners as it includes special hardware for installation. It is necessary to drill one hole on each side of the liner to secure the rack's rubber end pieces. This is necessary because the plastic material used for bed liners is fairly slippery and the rack end pieces would not grip well enough on their own.

You can still remove the rack easily after initial installation as it includes a central hinge mechanism. This is shown in the linked videos. I have also linked the written installation instructions for your reference.
