What is Needed for Tow Bar to Sit Level When Vehicle is Being Flat Towed

Question:

I have bought a 2008 Monaco Cayman RV. It comes with a 10000lb Blue Ox towing arms. I’m going to try and pull my 2008 Hummer H3. I know what base plate I need. But the Hummer as a small lift on it. Is the Blue Ox adjustable up and down? I’ve read you want to have the bars pretty much level when towing. I have forgot the part number that is on the Blue Ox. If you need it I can get at a later time. Also what braking system do I need for inside the Hummer? It does not have adjustable pedals. Thank you for your time.

Hey Jeff, so yeah you do want the tow bar to sit as level as possible but you have 3 inches up and down that you can work with and be fine. So tow bars like the Blue Ox part # BLU37TR isn't adjustable vertically but that's what high low adapters were designed for as they compensate for height differences.
