Can I Use The Tekonsha Prodigy RF If My Truck Has An OEM Controller
Question:
if my truck has a brake oem brake controller and a trailer has a prodigy brake controller will my truck control the brakes

Hello Ramiro. The Tekonsha Prodigy RF # TK94FR is designed to bypass the OEM controller in your truck. So, if you have both units connected, the signal from the OEM controller is terminated when it reaches the Prodigy RF system. In this scenario you would need to use the controller for the Prodigy RF to operate the brakes.
In order to use the OEM controller in your truck you will simply unplug the Prodigy FR controller and just plug the trailers 7-way directly into your truck.
