Hello, I am customizing a cargo trailer with barn doors. I want to hang tools and equipment from the doors if possible and am wondering how much weight the hinges can handle and whether I should add extra hinges.

I reached out to Polar Hardware for a weight capacity on their Square Corner Hinge with Reverse Bracket # PLR2212-SSP, and they said they do not give their hinges any weight capacity. Apparently they leave this up to the trailer manufacturer to determine the correct amount and size of hinges to use based on the door itself. You can try contacting the trailer manufacturer to see what their recommendation would be and they can also help you determine where is the best place to hang the tools would be based on the structure of the door.
