Can The Yakima Ladder Roller Be Mounted Upside Down?
Question:
Can the Yakima ladder roller be mounted upside down so the roller extends a little bit above the crossbar? This application is to load kayaks into J carriers so there is no cargo that needs to sit flush on the crossbars.

Hello again, Dave. It is possible to mount the Yakima Ladder Roller # Y01163 upside down. We would not want the weight of the kayak on the roller during transport, but since you are using it just to load onto the J carriers it will be just fine.

Jesse - Thanks somuch for answering all my questions ! I am switching racks from aerobars to racks with T channels and I am trying to figureout how to make my existing stuff work and what I need to buy. So one last question: I have a Yakima Showboat 66 that I was using on the aerobars and my question is is there anyway to make the Showboat 66 work on T channel bars? If not, I think I will have to try the Yakima ladder roller as an alternative. Thanks again!
