Will Stainless Steel Ball Valve Corrode Aluminum Tank of Water Heater

Will a 316 stainless steel ball valve in place of the plastic drain plug interact negatively with the aluminum tank and threads?

Hey Jim, yes a stainless steel valve threaded into an aluminum tank will corrode the tank so it would not be recommended.
