I was wondering if there is a kit to remove the tailgate that won't disable the camaras

@MichaelA That's unfortunately outside of our scope and would be a question for GM since it's their camera system. Most likely you will need to disconnect the factory camera but could install a third brake light or license plate camera so that you can still see where you're going when backing up. If you can tell me the model of your vehicle (Sierra 1500 or 2500 I'm assuming) I can look up custom-fit options for you.
