Can Replacement Gear Kit for Bulldog Sidewind Jacks Retrofit Old Bulldog Jack
Question:
I have an older Bulldog 12 Series 180 that needs to be rebuilt. I cant find a model number on it. I have watched the video on part BD500212 and the parts are not even close, no spring, the pin will have to be ground off to be removed, ect. Can this kit be used to retrofit? I think that the part that has failed can be replaced by part BD500217. I wont know until I can get the gear mechanism out. Thank You Chester Briscoe

The # BD500212 is only designed as a replacement kit. It may be possible to retrofit but we have never tested it. Bulldog may have more information on this but I'm guessing they will say to completely replace the jack. The BD500217 is on extended backorder so I don't know when we will get it back. You may be able to find it elsewhere to attempt a repair.
