Differences Between Dexter and Tekonsha Electric Trailer Brakes
Question:
Any difference between Dexter and Tekonsha 6k and 7k Never Adjust trailer electric brake assemblies? Will either work on same trailer? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Dexter and Tekonsha electric trailer brakes we offer are both usable on the same trailers provided that they are the correct drum size, have the correct mounting bolt pattern and are rated appropriately for the trailer's axles. In our customers' experience there is little functional difference between these two quality brands.
Never-Adjust brakes of course offer the convenience of not having to manually adjust spring/pad tension and will tend to help keep tow vehicle and trailer brakes' wear more even.
The link provided will let you see all electric brake assemblies; the filters at the left-hand side of the page will allow you to narrow the results to the size/rating you need.
