Replacement Seal for a Dexter 8-201 Hub and Drum
Question:
I bought a used 2005 Nash 22M manufactured by Northwood camping trailer that has a Dexter 8-201 Drum assembly. I am repacking the bearings. The grease seal that I removed has the same inner and outer dimensions as the GS-2250DL, although the one I removed has a single lip with a long thin spring. There are no other identification marks on the Drum other than 8-201. Is the GS-2250DL the correct grease seal for my trailer? If not, how can I determine which one is correct for me? Thanks

It sounds like the hub you have on your 2005 Nash 22M is the Dexter Trailer hub and drum part # 8-201-5. This hub has inner/outer bearings of 25580/ LM67048 respectively, and a seal of 10-1 for a single lip seal or a 10-10 for a double lip.
The correct and recommended seal part number you would need is the Grease Seal part # GS-212DL. You will see that the dimensions are very close to the # GS-2250DL that you referenced. Seals can be difficult to get dimensions on.
I attached a link to a bearing repacking and seal installation for you to check out also.
