Question:

I AM CONSIDERING PURCHASING ONE OF THESE CAMERAS FOR MY 2005 TUNDRA .IT APPEARS THAT IT HAS A 7 PRONG PLUG.WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO WIRE THE ELECTRICAL HOOKUP FOR THE CAMERA WITH OUT INTERFERING WITH THE PLUG SINCE I WILL BE UPGRADING THE BRAKES ON MY TRAILER?

We actually have a backup camera that you can plug in line with the 7-Way trailer connector. Take a look at # HM50002. I have linked a video showing an installation for you. As you can see, it will just plug in line with the 7-Way and retain all the trailer connector functions. If your 7-Way on your 2005 Toyota Tundra is not a US car connector type that accepts the plugs then the wiring does have provisions for being hardwired in.

I purchased the Hopkins backup camera HM50002 from Etrailer apx 18 months ago for my 2017 Ram 1500. It has been working flawlessly until about 2 weeks ago when I started getting a blue screen on my monitor. at first it was intermittent however now it stays blue most of the time and only works occasionally. I have checked all connections and they seem ok. Help !

If all the wiring from the camera is still secure and sound, make sure the camera itself is wiped clean and there isn't anything blocking it. It's also possible that water somehow got inside the unit and caused damage, which may require replacement.
