Reliable Replacement Compressor Kit for Firestone Air Command

Question:

I purchased this system 2 years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. I purchased the tube cutter and have sprayed the joints several times each. This spring I disconnected and reconnected every connection The compressor has become unresposive at times again requiring me to crawl under the truck and unplugged the contol unit to get it to connect to the app.. What reliable system can I replace it with that wont cost much? I want something foolproof that helps with towing a 11,000 pound trailer.

Hey Curtis, it's a bummer to hear about the frustrations you have had with the Firestone Air Command part # F2610 but for a kit to replace it I would recommend the Air Lift Heavy Duty kit part # AL25854. This is a no-frills heavy duty compressor kit that will work great and be very reliable. What we have found is that Firestone makes the best air bags but Air Lift really does the highest quality compressors.
