Does the Curt 7-way Extension part # C56080 Carry a Circuit that Could Charge a Trailer Battery
Question:
Will this product charge my battery while I drive? My existing extension that went to a 4 flat has a ground wire that is grounded to the camper. Will I need a new ground wire? Or does this part take care of that? Thank you

If you have a 7-way on your tow vehicle that has the 12 volt accessory circuit active and a 7-way on your trailer that has the 12 volt circuit run to the positive side of the battery on your trailer then yes, the Curt 7-way Extension part # C56080, when plugged in between your trailer and tow vehicle will put a maintenance charge on your trailer battery.
If you are looking for something to charge a dead trailer battery you would need a battery charger that would plug into a wall outlet like the CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353.
