How to Prevent Rust on Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater Door

My original Fogatti door started rusting only a few months after I put it in, is this one still made of mild steel?

The Replacement Access Door for Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB34FR will be the same as the door you had on your # LSB44FR. Even though the material is the same steel I wouldn't expect it to rust like that unless the finish is scratched up. What you might want to do is add a coat of something like Rust-Oleum as long as you don't spray it in the vents just to add an extra layer of protection.
