Will the Thule OutWay Platform Style Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2014 Honda Accord
Question:
Just want to confirm the fit for our Accord....... also, since bike wheels rest on platform, seems like the leveling bar is unnecessary for womens bike? A couple of the reviews [ only 3 stars] of this rack mentioned dents in the bumper of the vehicle because of a weight issue. Please advise

The Thule OutWay platform rack, # TH65JV, will technically fit the 2014 Honda Accord but I strongly advise against this bike rack for this particular vehicle. The problem is that the rack itself is so heavy that if you load bikes on it it will dent the vehicle. However, this latest version is 8 pounds lighter than the previous. I attached videos of the this rack and the hanging rack of this line.
You will probably want to use a lighter hanging rack such as the OutWay # TH45JV. I use the 3-bike version of this rack and have never had a problem with dents.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
