Trailer Hitch For 2023 Volkswagen Taos For Scooter

Hi Art; thanks for the question and let's start with the trailer hitch for your 2023 Volkswagen Taos. The correct fit for your car is the following:

- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C38JR

It's important to note that the # C38JR has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity, and what that means is the combined weight of your scooter and its carrier cannot exceed 200 lbs. There seem to be quite a few types of your scooter, with varying different weights, with most being at least 130 lbs (without batteries).

That's a challenge because the lightest carrier we have is the 77 lb Flint Hill Goods 29" x 49" Carrier w/ 60" Ramp # FHG69ZR.

This can work, but your scooter can't weigh more than 123 lbs to use this carrier. It also has inside dimensions of 47" long x 27-1/2" wide, so keep that in mind as well to ensure your scooter will fit (weight depending). So no matter what the hitch will work, but the right carrier is going to depend on the exact specs of your specific scooter model.
