Can Coil SumoSprings Be Used to Help Level Out a 2014 Volkswagen Touareg Towing a Trailer
Question:
Hi I am interested in sumo helper coil springs. I have a Volkswagen 2014 TDI CSS-1094R I am towing a 22 ft single axle travel trailer with a tongue weight around 450-480 lbs and I use a WD hitch. I would like to improve my sag by at least 1 inch. Will this jt reduce sag? Also, will it change the ride dynamics when not towing? If so, in what way?

Hey David, thanks for reaching out!
The Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1094R will be a great addition to your towing setup and will help to level out your rig. These are designed to provide progressive help so when you're riding unloaded you shouldn't be feeling this add-on at all.
I will say that a properly rated WD hitch should bring a towing setup back into within 1" of being level. Be sure your trailer tongue weight is 10-15% of the overall weight of the trailer and that the loaded tongue weight falls in the middle of the WD hitch range you're using for best performance. If your WD hitch is out of the range then I recommend checking out the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU36FR which has the perfect range for your setup.
