Can 300 lb Motorcycle be Carried on Hitch with 300 lb Tongue Weight Capacity
Question:
I’m interested in putting a 300 pound motorcycle on a hitch and then on the back of my 5th wheel which has a 300 pound tongue weight for the back hitch. I assume that is too heavy but wanted to ask before I buy a bike.

Hey Steve, yeah if your RV hitch has a capacity of 300 lbs you wouldn't be able to carry a 300 lb motorcycle as you'd have to also factor in the weight of the motorcycle carrier. For example our lightest carrier is the etrailer part # e56UR which weighs 47 lbs. So the max motorcycle weight you'd be able to carry would be 253 lbs.
