How To Mount The Yakima Hold-UP With 2" Hitch Behind a Camper With 1-1/4" Receiver
Question:
I have the Yakima Hold-Up EVO Bike rack # Y02480 and want to mount it to my trailer hitch on the back to carry bikes while camping. The Yakima rack is set to a 2 inch receiver however my trailer has an 1- 1/4 tow hitch. Can you help me choose a product which will make the bike rack compatible for an 1-1/4 receiver?

I just have to tell you Ryder, the Yakima HoldUp EVO Bike Rack Y02479 which is the 2" version of the # Y02480 is not rated from Yakima to be used behind any trailer or with any kind of adapter/reducer. With that said it is your rack and your bikes so I cannot stop you from using an Adapter # HTAD to carry the rack.
Currently we do not have any RV rated bike racks that fit a 1-1/4" receiver without using an adapter. We do offer the Swagman Traveler XC2 Bike Rack # S64663 which will attach to a 4" RV bumper or the Surco # SP501BR which attaches to a ladder if you have either of those as options. If not your best option may be to just put the bikes in the camper while traveling and then use the rack on your tow vehicle when you are at the campground.
