Does Trailer Need to be Unhitched From Tow Vehicle to Use Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack
Question:
Hello - for LC298707, I am wondering if the trailer needs to be removed from the truck before operating? We are looking to use these on a 20 ft cargo trailer that serves as a mobile food pantry. We make relatively quick stops 1-2 hours, and want to have a system that will work without having to unhitch. We are also looking at LC672136, but think that is more likely that we would need to unhook from the truck before deploying, and we dont necessarily need the auto-level function. Finally, again for LC298707, it seems like that works by just sensing a certain pressure/weight load on each leg and then it stops once it reaches that pressure/weight. Is that right? Thanks

Hey Darryl, thanks for reaching out!
The Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack # LC298707 will be the better option for your rig over the Electric Ground Control TT # LC672136 since you're wanting to stay hooked up to your tow vehicle when you make your stops for your mobile food pantry. With the High-Speed Stabilizer you'll be able to stay connected to your truck while also utilizing the legs to keep the trailer from wobbling back and forth. I do recommend lowering your front jack as well as chocking your tires so you aren't relying on just the coupler connection and this High-Speed jack system for stability since you'll be moving around inside the trailer.
The High-Speed jack system has legs that move independently so you'll just have to lower them until they reach the ground and are providing enough support to keep your trailer from shifting around.
